What is certificate revocation?

Posted by mcsenow on May 1, 2010 in Uncategorized |

Certificate revocation is the process of revoking a certificate before it expires. A certificate has an expiration date that defines the duration of the certificate’s validity. A certificate may need to be revoked when it has been lost or compromised, or when an employee to whom the certificate is issued has left the company.
